Tapper faces Samba-Mayela at Ostrava Golden Spike

Megan Tapper wins bronze at Tokyo 2020

OSTRAVA, Czech Republic – Jamaica’s Olympic Games bronze medallist Megan Tapper will be in action at this month’s Ostrava Golden Spike. The World Athletics Challenge Tour, Gold Level Meeting, will be held on 31 May.

Tapper, who won bronze in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Tokyo 2022 games, will take on recently crowned world indoor champion Cyrena Samba-Mayela.

More big names for Ostrava Golden Spike

In the javelin, Johannes Vetter takes on Olympic silver and bronze medallists Jakub Vadlejch and Vitezslav Vesely.

In the shot put, the reigning world champion Joe Kovacs goes head-to-head with 2017 world champion Tom Walsh.

Olympic champion Miltiadis Tentoglou is also confirmed for the long jump.
