Three Caribbean athletes, Steven Gardiner, Shaunae Miller-Uibo and Anastasia Le-Roy were winners on Sunday’s (20 May) final day of the Adidas Boost Boston Games ‘street meet’ in Boston, USA.

Miller-Uibo, however, shone brightest on Charles Street to take the top spot in the women’s 150m. Her time of 16.23 got the better of Michelle-Lee Ahye (TTO), 16.57 and Sashalee Forbes (JAM), 16.75.

Miller-Uibo’s 16.23 bettered Tori Bowie’s record set at last year’s meet by 0.07. The time is also the fastest ever clocking in a standalone 150m race (on a straight or bend). The only woman ever to have gone faster is American Flo Jo, who ran a 16.10 split during her 21.34 world record run in Seoul.
