Omar McLeod hopes his success in the 110m hurdles will show that Jamaicans can perform well in the sprint hurdles as well as the flat events.
Speaking to the IAAF, he said: “Another reason I do hurdles is to help redefine which events Jamaicans can perform well at.
Jamaicans see so many sprinters perform at the very top but it is my job to show that as a Jamaican hurdler you can dominate and be the best in the world.”
