Yohan Blake, a Jamaican sprinter born on December 26, 1989, excels in the 100m and 200m events. He made history by becoming the youngest ever 100m world champion at the 2011 World Athletics Championships. Blake continued his success with silver medals in both the 100m and 200m at the 2012 London Olympics, second only to his teammate, Usain Bolt.

POZNAN, Poland – Yohan Blake has been confirmed for the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix, a Bronze Level World Athletics Continental Tour meeting.

Yohan Blake is confirmed to run the men’s 200m. The rest of the 200m field is not yet known.

Blake, who in his lone 200m this season ran 20.95, is the Deagu 2011 World champion. Blake also ran six 100m races, heats, and finals this season.
He also has two Olympic Games titles (4x100m) and two World titles (100m and 4x100m).

Another top star set for the meet is European indoor champion Ajla Del Ponte, who will run the women’s 100m.

Olympic bronze medalist, Vitezslav Vesely from the Czech Republic, will be in the javelin.
