Jamaican Kimberly Williamson set to face off against top athletes at Kladno indoor meet

The Kladno indoor WIT Bronze jump&throw meet on January 28th will feature a strong line-up of athletes, including Kimberly Williamson of Jamaica, who will be competing in the women’s high jump event.

Williamson will be facing off against European indoor medalist Ella Junnila of Finland, Kazakhstan’s Kristina Ovchinnikova, and Ukraine’s Yuliya Chumachenko.

In the men’s high jump event, former World medalist Majd Eddin Ghazal of Syria leads the line-up, with competition from yesterday’s Brno winner Eric Portillo from Mexico, and Great Britain’s Joel Clarke-Kahn.

Shot-putters Sarah Mitton and Tomas Stanek are also set to take the stage, with Mitton, the Canadian World leader (19.80), competing against former World indoor champion Anita Marton of Hungary and Portugal’s Jessica Inchude. Local hero Stanek will be challenged by Mesud Pezer of Bosnia & Herzegovina, Sweden’s Wictor Petersson, Andrei Toader of Roumania, Norway’s Marcus Thomsen, and Mohamed Hamza of Egypt.

This event promises to be a thrilling showcase of some of the top athletes in the world of shot-put and high jump, and fans will not want to miss the action, especially the performances of Kimberly Williamson of Jamaica.
