At the Dr. Martin Luther King Invitational in Albuquerque, USA, St. Lucia’s 100m NCAA Champion, Julien Alfred, set two world-leading times in the 60m, clocking 7.05 in the heats and 7.02 in the finals, also setting a national and collegiate record.

The runner-up, Irish record holder Rhasidat Adeleke, finished in 7.20.
In the 200m, Adeleke took first place with a fast time of 22.52, setting a national record and European U23’s all-time indoor best. Alfred came in second in 22.71, also setting a national record.
Bailey Lear won the 400m with a time of 52.07, and Kennedy Simon won the 600m in 1:26.69 PB. Belgian hurdler Yanla Ndjip Nyemeck improved to 8.17 in the 60m hurdles.
On the men’s side, Will Sumner won the 600m in 1:15.32 PB, followed by Barbados’ Jonathan Jones at 1:15.72 and Briton Yusuf Bizimana at 1:15.79 PB. Elija Goodwin beat Matt Boling in the 400m with a time of 46.09 to 46.13, but Ashton Allen had a faster time of 45.94 PB in another race.
Marcellus Moore topped the 60m and 200m with times of 6.62 and 20.64, respectively, ahead of French runner Mouhamadou Fall’s indoor PB of 20.72.
Canadian Myles Misener-Daley won his heat in the 200m with a PB of 20.68.
