JC wins 4x8 at Penn Relays

Jamaica College (JC) closed out the 126th running of the Penn Relays with victory in the High School Boys’ 4×800 Championship of America final.

JC’s victory on Saturday’s (30 April) final day was the school’s first at the event.

The team of Omarion Davis, Handal Roban, Kemarrio Bygrave and J’Voughnn Blake combined to cross the line in 7:28.38. Roban, with a 1:48.12 split on the second leg, was JC’s fastest on the day.

Ridge, a team out of New Jersey, was taken home in a time of 7:41.59 by Andrew McCabe, James Kisker, Patrick Doran and Jackson Barna.

JC was the only Jamaican team in the final. In the first round (29 April), Khandale Frie, Kemarrio Bygrave, Omarion Davis and Handal Roban took JC into the final with 7:53.41.
