Kirani James takes silver behind Norman in 400m at Oregon22

EUGENE, Ore. – Kirani James won Grenada’s first medal of the Oregon22 World Athletics Championships on day eight at Hayward Field in Eugene, USA.

James ran a 44.48 for silver behind American Michael Norman, 44.29. 

Kirani James’ silver medal came 11 years after winning gold in Daegu and, like Olympics (1 gold, one silver and one bronze), has now 1-1-1 also at Worlds.

“Im just glad to be back, competing at the highest level and back on the podium,” James said.
