The three-day JAAA Trials to pick Jamaica’s team for the 49th Carifta Games get underway this Friday at 4:30 pm. Unfortunately, no spectators will be allowed in the venue on this occasion.

Jamaica will host the Games this year from April 16th to 18th at the National Stadium with more than twenty teams already confirmed to participate.
The first athletes to get into action on Friday will contest the finals of the Girls Shot Put at 4:30 pm. Action on the track will start at 5 pm with the Under 17 Girls 400m preliminaries.
The final event on Friday will be the 100m preliminaries at 7:40 pm.
Saturday’s action starts at 11:00 am with the preliminaries of the 400m hurdles for Under 17 girls and is scheduled to end at 5:55 after all the 100m finals are completed.
Sunday sees another full day of activities with the first event starting at noon and the last ending at 6:50 pm.
