Ashanti Moore won the Olympic Development women’s 100m dash at Wednesday’s (11 March) UWI Invitational.
Moore of Hydel, running her first race since 4 February 2020, and third 100m since her 11.17 stunner at Champs 2019, stopped the clock in 11.70 seconds on the same day ISSA announced the cancellation of Champs 2020.
She finished well ahead of Church Teachers’ College’s pair of Ladesha Dale 13.22 and Aleith Codner 13.64.
The event, held at the Usain Bolt Track, UWI Mona Campus in Kingston, also saw Moore topping the girls’ 18 and under 200m in 23.94 ahead of Atena Rayson of Vere 24.74.
Roneisha McGregor of UWI Mona won the women’s 200m dash in 23.79 ahead of her teammate Candice McLeod 24.47.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Emmanuel Callender, representing Pelican, took the men’s 200m in 21.62 ahead of UWI’s Mazinho Barrett 21.97.
Meanwhile, Fedrick Dacres won the men’s discus throw with 64.55m. Kai Chang was second with 57.80m.
Warren Barrett of UWI won the men’s shot put with 17.70m, beating Dacres 17.34m.
Samantha Hall of MVP won the women’s discus 55.40m and shot put 12.15m.
Emmanuel Archibald of UWI Mona topped the men’s long jump with 7.64m ahead of his teammate Donnon Williams 7.01m. Archibald also ran 10.48 to win the men’s 100m ahead of Akeem Williams, also of UWI, 10.70.
Nikita Tracey of Pelican won the women’s 800m in 2:11.64 while KC’s Malique Savery topped the men’s event in 1:54.65.
Roxroy Cato of Lyfestyle won the men’s 400m in 47.94 ahead oof Jean-Marc Smith of UWI 48.32.

Wonder if the person realize that he or she said Moore top the under 18 section of the 200m and am sure she ain’t under 18

So the ban champs and they have the time now to publish other event what she won from what she not won..why they dount ban that meet also.
