Yohan Blake to play cricket in India

Jamaica’s 2011 world 100m champion Yohan Blake will represent West Indies legends at the Road Safety World Series 2020 in India.

He will join cricket legends Brian Lara and Shivnarine Chanderpaul for the series, set to begin on 7 March and ends 22 March.

Blake won silver medals in both 100m and 200m at the London 2012 Olympic Games behind Usain Bolt. He is also the second-fastest 200m sprinter with 19.26 and has a personal best in the 100m of 9.69.

Lara-led West Indies will play Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends in the opener of the series.

The legends of cricket from different parts of the world are joining hands to create awareness about road safety and change people’s mindset towards their behaviour on the roads.

  1. Maybe, he is just being realistic. I don’t see him beating an inform Coleman. His chances of medaling are farfetched. If he can get a good cricket contract, it could be a good payday for him.
