Jamaica beat USA to capture the men’s 4x200m title at 89 at Saturday’s (January 27) Dr. Sanders Invitational (Indoor) inside the Armory, New York City.
The quartet of Colin King, Kevon Rattray, Jermaine Brown and Andre Clarke, completed the four-lap event in 1:25.65 to beat Guyana 1:28.08 and USA 1:32.
In the women’s 4x200m final, Jamaica with Verone Chambers, Yanique Ellington, Sonikqua Walker and Shavine Hodges, crossed the line, second in 1:34.84.
USA won this event in 1:32.67 while Guyana finished third in 1:40.14 and France, fourth in 1:41.28.
Jamaica’s Olympian Sanjay Ayre, who is the personal coach of Clarke, Chambers and Walker at Chase Athletics, along with Dalton Evans, were in charge of the team.
JAAA president Dr. Warren Blake was also in attendance.
