GC Foster won the College Men’s 4x100m Championship of American Invitational title at Penn Relays on Saturday (30 April).
The quartet of Colin King, Chadric Hinds, Evaton Clark and Brandon Tomlinson combined for 39.31 seconds to take the title.
Speaking about the team and their prize with a smile on his face was King.
"Very proud of the team,” he said. "It's a dream come true. We always knew we could win."
“We came here to win the golden watches,” King added of the Maurice Wilson-coached team.
Houston finished second in 39.49 and South Carolina third in 39.54.
University of Technology (UTech), winners of the last three titles, finished fifth in 39.73.
In the College women’s 4x200m, UTech with Christania Williams, Janieve Russell, Shimayra Williams, Shericka Jackson, finished second behind Tennessee, 1:31.84 to 1:32.69.
UTech with Travane Morrison, Tyquendo Tracey, Chad Walker, Rohan Cole ran 1:23.24 for fourth in the College men’s 4x200m, won by South Carolina 1:22.38
UTech women’s 4x400m team of Simoya Campbell (54.7), Shericka Jackson (51.6), Derri-Ann Hill (53.02), Janieve Russell (51.38) finished third in 3:30.75 behind Oregon 3:30.11 and Tennessee 3:30.73
