Joella Lloyd leads Antigua and Barbuda team to Carifta Games

Inter-Schools Championships star athlete Joella Lloyd has been selected for her first Carifta Games.

Lloyd, who dominated the Under-15 girls’ 100m, 200m and 400m, has been named amongst 12 athletes to represent Antigua & Barbuda at the Carifta Games, Eastern Weekend, in Grenada from March 26 – 28.

Lloyd, who will celebrate her 14th birthday next month, is well aware of the challenges to come from Carifta Games. "I know I will have to work harder and I am ready to do the work"

U18 Girls – Joella Lloyd (100, 200), Dahlia Barnes (Long Jump).

U18 Boys – Sheldon Noble (Long Jump, High Jump), Darion Skerrit (200, 400), Kalique St. Jean (3000).

U20 Girls – Bliss Soleyn (100), Ariel Strunkey (100, 200), Arian Strunkey (200, 400), Sweeney Bruce (Triple Jump).

U20 Boys – Coull Graham (100, 200), Micaiah Washington (Long Jump), Kyle Browne (Javelin).

The Antigua & Barbuda Athletics Association  has named Ted Daley as coach and Manager – Monica Lindsay to travel with the team.
