Akeem Bloomfield, Jhevaughn Matherson and Junelle Bromfield head Jamaica's Carifta Games team.

Broomfield of St. Elizabeth Technical heads the 36-member female squad while Kingston College's pair of Bloomfield and Matherson lead the 37 boys named so far for the March 26-28 event in St. George's Grenada.

World Youth 400m champion Christopher Taylor, who did not start at Carifta Games Trials was left out of the team, but could be included after Champs.

The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA), in a release, said: "Competitors for the Girls Heptathlon and Boys Octathlon, which are open events will be named from the results of the 2016 ISSA Boys & Girls Championships. An additional five (5) athletes will also be selected."
