Less than 24 hours before the start of the 44th Carifta Games here in St. Kitts, athletes are suffering from poor treatment.
Several athletes have now been waiting over nine hours for rooms, which seems to be a huge problem at the Marriott Hotel in St. Kitts.
World Youth bronze medallist Christoffe Bryan was the first Jamaican at the hotel as he came in directly from the USA.
Team Jamaica arrived late with little or no problems with getting rooms.
“Seems like they were the only ones the organizers were expecting,” said a member of one of the teams without rooms.
Trinidad and Tobago’s athletes have checked in the hotel so far, but the smaller teams are having problems.
Cayman Islands, Aruba, Guadeloupe, Dominica and Turks and Caicos Islands are some of the teams suffering.
England's Cricket team also arrived in St Kitts today and checked in the same hotel without problems.
