Edwin Allen topped the Championship of America 4×4 to take their 2nd title of Friday’s second day at the 2014 Penn relays. It was Edwin Allen's third title, adding to 2009 and 2012.
The quartet of Saqukine Cameron, who provided a brilliant start, Monique Spencer, who dismissed any possible challenge, Marleena Eubanks, who passed to Camira Haughton to seal the deal 3:34.76, one hundredths of a second outside the Championships record.
Michael Dyke, Edwin Allen’s head coach, said the girls wanted to get the record, but “still happy for the win and happy going home.”
Holmwood Tech with Shadae Hylton, Shantae Green, Shanice Cohen and Ashley Williams finished second in 3:41.17 while St. Jago’s quartet of Yvonna Grant, Kissi-Ann Brown, Monique Mcpherson and Genekee Leith combined for third in 3:42.79.
St. Elizabeth Tech took 4th in 3:43.34 their team – Satanya Wright, Christine Moss, Chantai Smith and Junelle Bromfied
