Edwin Allen girls have booked their places in all three finals at the 2014 Penn Relays being staged at the Franklin Field Stadium in Pennsylvania.
The Frankfield-based school is favoured to take all three relays, 4x100m, 4x400m and 4x800m on Friday’s second day.
In the large school prelims, the quartet of Shimoya Currie (2:22.3), Shannon Kalawan (2:17.7), Marleena Eubanks (2:09.4) and Asshanni Robb (2:19.8) took them into the final with 9:09.23 ahead of Central Bucks 9:12.57.
Holmwood with Shanieke Watson (2:19.9), Lisa Buchanan (2:14.3), Taffoya Shirley (2:19.1), Chrisanni May (2:19.0) booked their place in the final from the small school prelims in 9:12.30.
St. Jago finished third in 9:21.99 thanks to the quartet of Kemo Anderson (2:23.3), Monique Mcpherson (2:16.2), Roshae Burrell (2:20.8), Ophia Simmonds (2:21.7) to get them into the final. Vere’s time of 9:40.49, however, was not good enough, despite the efforts of Alithia Ferron (2:29.1), Britnie Dixon (2:20.7), Monique Campbell (2:29.2), Sasha-Gay Whyte (2:21.5)

Edwin Allen, in the 4x400m recorded the day’s best time of 3:41.29 with Georgia Tomlinson (57.33), Monique Spencer (53.27), Janiel Moore (56.37), Camira Haughton (54.33)
Holmwood with Shadae Hylton (56.25), Shantae Green (54.77), Shanice Cohen (55.42), Ashley Williams (55.20) did 3:41.63 in their heat to beat St. Jago 3:42.48
Genekee Leith (55.45), Yvonna Grant (56.96), Tasheena Ewan (55.97), Kissi-Ann Brown (54.11) and STETHS 3:44.61 Junelle Bromfied (57.32), Christine Moss (54.44), Chantai Smith (56.80), Satanya Wright (56.06)
Long Beach Poly of California will enter the final with 3:45.20

In the 4x100m, Edwin Allen qualified with 45.66, the only sub-46 of the day. They used Christania Williams, Claudette Allen, Saqukine Cameron and Shanice Lewis in the heats.
