World track and field superstar Veronica Campbell-Brown has thrown her support behind Ostrava as host for the 2018 Continental Cup.
"I have had the privilege of competing in Ostrava as well as at the Continental Cup. That the main city in the Czech Republic is vying to host this global celebration of athletics in 2018 seems a perfect marriage.
Global IAAF competitions are not foreign to Ostrava who have hosted in the past the successful 2007 World Youth Championships and of course the annual IAAF World Challenge event. Ostrava is renowned for its hospitality, athlete friendly staff and a crowd which ranks among the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic in the athletics arena.
"When the final decision on the 2018 host is made our sport will be the winner if Ostrava, a bid I fully support, is chosen!." concluded VCB
