DOHA, Qatar – Puerto Rican Wesley Vazquez has put himself in an excellent position to take the men’s 800m title at the 17th IAAF World Athletics Championships in Qatar.

The Spanish-speaking country entered three 800m athletes and Vazquez will start the final as the fastest overall qualifiers.
