Hydel High’s Kerrica Hill produced a world U18 best to be among four Champs 2022 record breakers on Friday’s penultimate day of the ISSA-Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Championships – Champs 2022.

Hill blazed to 12.89 seconds to top her semi-final of the Class 2 girls’ 100m hurdles. The mark equalled the World U18 best held by Jamaican Ackera Nugent. Nugent held the previous Champs Class 2 record of 12.91.
Camperdown High’s Roshawn Clarke turned the table on KC’s Rayon Campbell, winning the Class 1 boys’ 400m hurdles final in 49.50 to 50.54.
KC’s Jaydon Hibbert leapt a record 16.66m to take the top spot in the Class 1 boys’ triple jump final.
Dionjah Shaw of Edwin Allen threw a record 43.51 metres to take victory in the Class 3 girls’ discus final. Rihanna Biggs of St. Jago was the closest with 41.67m.
Champs 2022 Projected Final Points
KC, at the end of day 4, led Jamaica College (JC) by more than 60 points, 201 to 138.33, just slightly ahead of their projections tally of 205.
Edwin Allen, according to experts’ predictions, is more than five points ahead of projection. They are going into the final day on 175 points ahead of Hydel 127 and St. Jago 109.
