LONDON – Shaunae Miller-Uibo will contest the London 2017 World Championships women’s 200m final later tonight.

Miller-Uibo, along with American Allyson Felix, was one of the favourites, but finished in fourth place after a stumble.

“I am injury free and will be contesting the 200m semis later tonight,” she posted on social media.

The Olympic champion looked a certain winner coming off the curve with at least a 10-metre lead. However, with less than 20 meters left, tied up and tripped on her own foot, stumbling almost to a standstill as her rivals stormed past.

American Phyllis Francis won the event in a personal best 49.92 while Felix was third in 50.08.

Miller-Uibo was back in 50.49, but will be ready for the 200m final.

“In all things I give God praise! Have never and will never question his motives,” she added.
