Steven Gardiner and Danielle Thomas-Dodd were winners at Sunday’s (6 June) Music City Track Carnival in Nashville, Tennessee.

Bahamas’ Doha 2019 champion Gardiner finished below his season-best. However, his 45.06 was good enough for an easy win in the men’s 400m.
Christopher Taylor, who promised a lot from his junior career, trailed Gardiner across the line in 45.67. American Quintaveon Poole finished third in 45.92.
Thomas-Dodd, a medallist in Doha 2019, put the shot 19.26 meters, her best mark this season. Jessica Ramsey of the USA was second to Thomas-Dodd with 18.78m
Lloydricia Cameron, the other Jamaican in the event, finished fourth with 17.57m. Trinidad and Tobago’s Portious Warren ended sixth with 17.05m.
American Jessica Beard ran 51.44 to take the women’s 400m. Americans NaAsha Robinson, 51.94 (pb) and Francena McCorory, not at her best for years now, 51.01 (sb) were second and third, respectively.
In the men’s 100m, American Andrew Hudson ran 10.27 to beat Abdullah Mohammed, 10.32 and Bismark Boateng of Canada, 10.35.
Jamaican Jevaughn Minzie, 10.45, finished fourth.
Dezerea Bryant, 11.24, finished ahead of fellow Americans Tamari Davis, 11.40 and Shannon Ray, 11.41.
The 2021 Music City Track Carnival – American Track League – will conclude on Sunday, June 6, with the featured events and the meeting will be broadcast from Nashville, Tennessee live on ESPN 2. A webcast and stream are also available via WatchESPN. Live results will also be available here.
