MONDEVILLE, France – Jamaican Simone Facey topped women 60m here at Meeting Elite en salle de Mondeville on the weekend (6 Feb).

Facey won the final in 7.20 to beat Ukrainian Olesya Povkh 7.26. Facey, in the heats, was faster with 7.18

French sprinting star Christophe Lemaitre after running a fast 6.59 in the heats of the 60m was disqualified in the final, which was won by British Sean Safo-Antwi 6.55 PB.

Bahamian Warren Fraser 6.61 finished second in the final. Fraser had won his heat in 6.67.

BVI’s Chantel Malone was 2nd in the women’s long jump with 6.31m. Jazmin Sawyers of Great Britain won the event with 6.62m.

In the 60m hurdles, Dimitri Bascou clocked 7.58 to win (also 7.52 in heats) ahead of Cuban Yordan O´Farrill 7.61.

Regina George of Nigeria won the 400m in 53.99, British Serita Solomon 8.07 in hurdles and Jazmin Sawyers 6.62m in the long jump.
