NEW YORK – Star sprinter Veronica Campbell Brown says after a challenging 2015 she's in a good place to be in Rio for 2016, and is trusting God that she'll make the (Jamaica) team.

According to the Jamaica Observer, Campbell-Brown said: "Training has been good. It's a lot of hard work, but I have to set the pace, set the foundation for 2016."

"I can run faster. I haven't run my fastest yet. Jamaica has been known over the years for producing great athletes. [Competition] is good for the sport. We do need the competition, so I'm excited and I'll always support the young athletes," she said.
