Alaysha Johnson Outpaces Charlton to Win 60m Hurdles at American Track League Meet

Alaysha Johnson clocked 7.84 in the 60m hurdles final at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational (American Track League meet and World Indoor Tour Silver) to beat of Bahamian Devynne Charlton 7.89.

Legendary runner Lolo Jones also competed, finishing in 6th place with a time of 8.35.

In other events, British runner Nicole Yeargin set a new record with a time of 36.89 in the hurdles, while Jodie Williams also had a strong showing with a time of 37.24.

World medalist Brittany Brown won the 60m with a time of 7.20, with a heat time of 7.19. Olivia Baker took first place in the 800m with a time of 2:02.50, and Canadian runner Regan Yee had a personal best of 4:30.46 in the mile.

In the pole vault, Bridget Williams cleared 460. Freddie Crittenden secured another win in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.53, just edging out Michael Dickson, who also clocked in at 7.53.

Clayton Murphy won the 1000m in 2:20.70, Paul Dedewo took first place in the 300m with a time of 33.42, and Lawrence Johnson won the 60m with a time of 6.61.

In a rare and impressive feat, CJ Allen set a time of 48.88 in the 400m hurdles, falling just short of Felix Sanchez’s all-time best of 48.78 from 2012.
