ATLANTA, Georgia – The adidas Atlanta City Games are set to dazzle Atlanta’s Piedmont Park once again with the confirmation that world champions Noah Lyles and Grant Holloway will headline the event, organizers have disclosed today (10 April). This distinctive “street meet” brings elite track and field action directly to the community, transforming the park into a sprinter’s paradise.

The City Games, unique in North America for taking the track to the streets, are not just a showcase for Olympic hopefuls but also a platform for high school talent. The High School Invitational, a highlight of the event, will put Georgia’s finest young sprinters and hurdlers on display, integrated into the event’s main program.
Noah Lyles is set to electrify the men’s 150m, coming off a legendary 2023 season, where he became the first man since 2015 to claim the world title triple – winning the 100m, 200m, and the 4x100m relay. Lyles remarked, “This is timely and we look forward to the continued growth and success of the sport.”
Grant Holloway is another marquee name returning to the Atlanta spotlight. Holloway has had an unassailable grip on the 60m hurdles, maintaining an unbeaten streak over nine winter seasons and clinching his second World Athletics Indoor Championship gold this year.
Anna Hall, a titan in the multi-event discipline, will also be returning to the City Games, competing in both the 100m hurdles and long jump. Hall’s remarkable previous season saw her breaking the US indoor pentathlon record and earning silver at the World Championships.
The day’s festivities commence with the adidas Atlanta City Games – Youth, inviting children aged 9-14 to compete on the same elevated track as their professional idols. The event transitions from youthful exuberance to high school prowess with the Midtown Miles taking place at Midtown High School. The program concludes with an Elite High School Mile, gathering the crème de la crème of male and female high school athletes.
While the Wingfoot Night of Champions will be taking a hiatus this year, it is set to make a triumphant return in the following season, maintaining its tradition as a staple in the track and field calendar.
