The Queen’s/Grace Jackson track and field meet at the National Stadium is set to be a thrilling event on Saturday, January 28th. The main attraction is Shericka Jackson, the reigning World Championships 200m champion, who will be opening her season with a 400m race.

As the second-fastest woman of all time in the 200m event with a time of 21.45, Jackson has a personal best of 49.47 in the 400m event and has won three medals in the Olympic Games and World Championships in the event.
In addition to Jackson, the women’s 400m event will feature competitors such as Crystal Sloley and the G C Foster College Deneka Thomas, Odeshia Nanton, and Keiffer Bailey.
On the men’s side, Doha 2019 World Championships long jump champion Tajay Gayle will be competing in the 60m event against Rasheed Dwyer, Brendon Rodney, Michael Campbell, Oshane Bailey, and McKish Compton.
Other notable events include the 200m race with Janieve Russell, Candice McLeod, Stephenie Ann McPherson, Tia Clayton, Jura Levy, and Sada Williams, the women’s 60m event with World Under-20 100m champion Tina Clayton facing off against Natasha Morrison, Anthonique Strachan, Jonielle Smith, Kashekia Cameron, and Jury Levy.
The men’s discus throw event will have Chad Wright, Glenford Watson, and Shamar Reid competing. With some of the best athletes in the world in attendance, this is sure to be an exciting meet.
