Brianna Lyston takes on NCAA elite at Razorback Invitational

Jamaica’s world U20 200-metre champion Brianna Lyston is set to open her indoor season on Friday (Jan 27) at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, AR.

As one of the top collegiate runners in the country, Lyston is no stranger to competition, but Friday’s 200m will be particularly challenging as she faces off against some of the best runners in the NCAA.

Lyston, a freshman at Louisiana State University, will take on Adriana Tatum of Arizona State, Thelma Davies of LSU, and Jayla Hollis of Florida. Each of these runners has had a successful season thus far and will be looking to make their mark at the Razorback Invitational.

Garriel White, who attended Hydel with Lyston, will run in section 9. Nickisha Pryce is listed for section 12, and Joanne Reid will represent Arkansas in section 18.

LSU’s Favour Ofili and Kynnedy Flannel, now at Florida, are among the favorites.
