Antigua and Barbuda’s Joella Lloyd advanced from the preliminary round of the women’s 100m on Friday (29 July) at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Lloyd, a student at the University of Tennessee, won heat 3 of the event in 11.55.

Amya Clarke of St Kitts and Nevis also booked her ticket in the next round, set for Friday later tonight (Jamaica time) at 10:15.
Clarke ran 11.67 for third in heat one, which went to Natacha Ngoye Akamabi of the Republic of the Congo in 11.47.
