VIDEO: American sprinter Erriyon Knighton breaks Usain Bolt record

Seventeen-year-old American sprinter Erriyon Knighton broke one of Usain Bolt’s longstanding records, his U18 200m mark of 20.13 at the Duval County Challenge in Florida on 31 May.

Knighton beat an excellent field when he crossed the finish line in 20.11, removing the record Bolt set in Barbados back in 2003 by .02 seconds.

American Trayvon Bromell, who thinks he can be the next Usain Bolt, is one of the favourites for Olympic Games 100m glory. He was second in 20.20.

Bolt still owns the world junior record of 19.93, set back in April 2004, four months before turning 18.
