Jamaica’s PM highlights Briana Williams’ contribution to nation building

World U20 sprint double champion, Briana Williams, made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Holness on Thursday (7 January).

Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness praised rising sprint star Briana Williams for helping “build our great nation.”

World U20 sprint double champion, Williams, made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Holness on Thursday (7 January).

Holness disclosed: “During the courtesy call, Briana presented printers to be donated to schools across Jamaica; this will complement well the laptops and tablets we have been distributing to our schools and students.”

“I am happy that our young people are being agents of change and are willing to help build our great nation through service. Keep up the good work, Briana,” wrote the Prime Minister.

Williams, accompanied by her manager Tanya Lee, is Jamaica’s junior (under-20) record holder in both the women’s 100 and 200 metres.
