Thomas-Dodd wins shot put at American Track League

Jamaican shot-putter Danniel Thomas-Dodd was a winner at Saturday’s (8 Aug) American Track League in Marietta, Georgia, USA.

Thomas-Dodd, the Doha 2019 World Championships silver medallist, threw 18.44 metres to take the top spot.

Thomas-Dodd is also the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games champion and Lima 2019 Pan Am Games winner. She took silver at the Birmingham 2018 World Indoor Championships.

Meanwhile, Trinidad and Tobago’s Machel Cedenio and Cejahe Greene won the men’s 400m and 100m, respectively.

Antiguan Cejahe Greene won the men’s 100m in 10.38 ahead of Guyanese Jeremy Bascom, 10.59.

Cedenio’s victory came in the men’s 400m with 45.86. David Kendziera ran 46.89 for second and Justin Brooks, 46.97 finished third in the event.

American Vernon Norwood ran 21.11 in the men’s 200m.

Trey Holloway topped the men’s 110m hurdles in 14.04 ahead of Kurt Powdar, 14.16.

Gia Trevisan had the best time of 55.01 in the women’s 400m.
