Bahrain’s world 400m champion Salwa Eid Naser has been provisionally suspended for whereabouts failures.
Naser, who shocked the world at the Doha 2019 World Championships by winning the 400m gold, missed three tests in a 12-month period.
Athletics Integrity Unit disclosed on Friday (5 June), saying: “The AIU has provisionally suspended Salwa Eid Naser of Bahrain for whereabouts failures, a violation of the @WorldAthletics Anti-Doping.”
Under the doping rules, athletes must provide regular updates on their whereabouts to facilitate testing outside of competition.
Naser, who was born in Nigeria and moved to Bahrain at the age of 14, beat Bahamian favourite Shaunae Miller-Uibo for the title in Doha.
Naser’s victory ended a 25-month winning streak for Olympic champion Miller-Uibo, who took silver in a personal best 48.37.

Alva Henry she has not gotten a 2 year ban as yet but she could get it. She was on Instagram live and said she missed 3 tests and these were before the world championship but she didn’t go in details as to why she missed the test. She wanted to clarify that she had not failed a drug test because some people were misunderstanding.

They missed because the drug to hide the bigger drug is not in their system. It take confession from Marion Jones that she was on drugs despite being tested over and over again. The testing system is foolishness

Jorge, he missed 3 test within the calendar year , but the first missed test was officially recorded as a second quarter violation, therefore his third missed test place him outside of the yearly window. He got off on a technicality. The Iaaf will be changing that rule to eliminate the loop hole

Nicardo Arsenal Beckford, it was all explained after the hearing. He did not in fact have 3 in a year in the first place. One of the dates had been wrongly recorded. He did in fact stop competing at the time, forgoing several Diamond League appearance fees.
