Thomas, Stevens suspended by AIU … Thomas denies charge

US female sprinters Deajah Stevens and Gabrielle Thomas along with Kenyan long-distance runner Alex Korio Oloitiptip face doping charges for whereabouts failures.

The Athletics Integrity Unit also announced that Kenyan Mikel Kiprotich Mutai has tested positive for norandrosterone.

Stevens was fifth over 200m at the 2017 World Championships.

Thomas is a former NCAA indoor 200m champion, who has run 22.19.

Thomas said for Reuters, and she expected to be cleared of charges. “I am confident that at least one of these missed tests is not valid and that I will be completely cleared,” Thomas said in a statement for Reuters.

Korio was 11th over 10,000m at the 2019 World Championships.
