ALBUQUERQUE, USA – World 100m champion Christian Coleman will compete indoors for the time since 2018 when he lines up in the 60m at the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque this weekend (14-15 Feb).
It was at the same meeting and venue two years ago that he set his world record of 6.34 before going on to win the world indoor title.
Among the rivals will start World leader Demek Kemp.
Ryan Crouser will contest the shot put, Jenn Suhr against Sandi Morris in the pole vault, Tori Franklin vs Keturah Orji in the triple jump, are other big names down to compete.
World leader Mikiah Brisco is in the 60m, Ajee Wilson and Wadeline Jonathas are favourites for 800m and 400m.
Millrose sensation Elinor Purrier is listed for 1500m and 3000m, in the shorter one against Shelbi Houlihan.
Colleen Quigley and Courtney Frerichs are also in the 3000m.
Vashti Cunningham and Erik Kynard are in the high jump. Late scratch is 800m World champion, Donavan Brazier.
I thinks Coleman is going to be the first person to take 100m gold in the post-Bolt era!
