The Mississippi State cross country team travels to Tallahassee, Florida for its second postseason test of the year at the NCAA South Region Championships.
The meet, hosted by Florida State, will be held at Apalachee Regional Park. The women’s 6K race is set to begin at 7:30 a.m. CT with the men’s 10K to follow at 8:30 a.m.

The women’s race will feature 29 teams, including 12th-ranked Florida State and 27th-ranked Ole Miss. On the men’s side, MSU will face a trio of ranked teams in Ole Miss (11th), Middle Tennessee (15th) and Alabama (28th).
On Nov. 1, MSU earned a 12th-place finish at the SEC Championships in Lexington, Kentucky. Sylvia Russell led the Bulldogs with a 43rd-place finish, followed by Sydney Steely (78th), Silvia De La Pena Garibay (83rd), Kristy Terp (85th) and Breja Hooks (89th) to round out the top five for the Maroon and White.
Should the Bulldogs advance, they will run in the 2019 NCAA Championships, held Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
