The 100m finals produced some amazing times on Friday’s 4th day of #Champs2019.
Oblique Seville of Calabar ran a blistering 10.13 seconds (just of Zharnel Hughes’ record of 10.12).
Kevona Davis of Edwin Allen won the Class 2 girls’ 100m final in 11.19, just three-hundredths of a second off her own Champs record of 11.16.
Hydel’s Ashanti Moore stunned the stadium with a huge personal best of 11.17 for gold in the Class 1 girls’ 100m final.
Also, 13-year-old Christopher Scott’s Class 3 victory of 10.73 to set a new Class 3 boys’ 100m record.
However, Trackalerts.com’s pick for the best performance of the day was that of 14-year-old Tina Clayton, who ran a blistering 11.27 to take top honours in the Class 3 girls’ 100m. The mark is a new age group world best.
