According to information reaching Trackalerts.com, ISSA, the governing body for high school sporting events, has decided to limit the number of transfer student/athletes per teams.

Flow, one of the associate sponsors for Champs, has pulled out of the annual track and field spectacular.

According to information reaching Trackalerts.com, Flow made the decision to pull out because they felt they weren’t getting value for money.

Efforts to get comments from the Telecommunication firm and the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) did not produce any result as either party would not confirm or deny the development.

In 2016, Flow announced an investment of US$666,000 (JA$81 million) for three years, ending in 2018, which nearly double the company’s previous commitment.

Trackalerts.com understands that Digicel will take up the slot.

Champs 2019 will be held at the National Stadium over five days, March 26-30.

Calabar, the defending seven times boys champions, and Edwin Allen, who made it three straight last year, are favourites to defend their titles.
