Six-time Olympic champion Allyson Felix gave birth to a girl, Camryn, on November 28, it was announced on December 20, 2018.
The 11-time world champion sprinter had the announcement planned but then needed an emergency C-section at 32 weeks. She and Camryn are both doing well despite the newborn needing to remain in intensive care.
“I’m trying to be open to what God has in store for me and my family,” she wrote.
“I still feel nervous and vulnerable. But I also feel brave and excited. Every day I sit with my daughter in the NICU and watch her fight. Every day she gets stronger and more beautiful.”
