CAPE TOWN, South Africa – Wayde van Niekerk is unlikely to race this season as he continues his rehabilitation and recovery from knee surgery, informs Sport 24.
“Wayde will probably not compete at all this year. When he comes back he wants to be ready and that means we are not running anywhere this year now. It will probably be 2019,” said his manager Peet van Zyl.

“The IAAF Diamond League is very important to me this year with the Americans not having a major championship. so I want to win the Diamond League series so I can get a bye to compete for the US team at the IAAF World Championships in Doha next year,” she said. She will next compete in Budapest and then in Rabat.
Kevin Borlee to return to competition
BRUSSELS (BEL): Kevin Borlee is expected to return to competition at the Belgian Championships in Brussels on 7-8 July, informs sport.be.
He has until 29 July to achieve the 400m qualifying time of 45.89. Borlee is currently sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
