Christopher Taylor was impressive on Sunday’s final day of Jamaica’s Carifta Games Trials at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Taylor ran 45.41secs to win the Under-20 boys’ 400m final. The mark is second best time in the world this year behind Botswana’s Karabo Sibanda, 45.26.
Dashawn Morris of Kingston College (KC) was second to Calabar’s Taylor in a personal best 46.67.
Junelle Bromfield of UTech raced to victory in the Under-20 girls’ one lap event. Broomfield, 52.75secs, beat Kimorla Muchette of Edwin Allen, 54.07.
Antonio Watson of Petersfield won the Under-18 boys’ final in 47.08, a personal best effort, to beat Ramone Lindo of Vere 47.18.
Sanique Walker of Vere was the winner of the Under-18 girls’ 400m final in a personal best 53.01. Abigail Brooks of Hydel ran 53.44 for second place.
