Class 1 boys’ 200m – The contest should be hot between Christopher Taylor (Calabar) and Jhevaughn Matherson (KC)

Class 1 boys’ 800m – Rusea’s Ackeen Colley and Tyrese Reid of Spot Valley are the top boys, but Leon Clarke of St. Jago will be one to keep an eye on.

Class 1 boys’ 1500 – Ackeen Colley of Rusea’s and Kristophe Darby of Kingston College are expected to lead the battle.

Class 1 boys’ 100m – Jhevaughn Matherson of KC and Calabar’s Michael Stephens are expected to lock horns

Class 2 boys’ 1500m – Ari Rodgers of KC, and Calabar’s duo of Kimar Farquharson and Kevroy Venson are the top contenders.

GIRLS
Class 2 100m hurdles – Vere’s Britney Anderson has the speed to go sub-13, and along with Shanette Allison of Holmwood and Daszay Freeman, the defending champion from Manchester High, should make it very exciting

Class 3 100mKevona Davis (11.43SB) of Edwin Allen is the favourite, however, Sashieka Steele, who ran 11.50 this season, will be no walkover.

Class 1 400m – Stacey-Ann Williams of St. Elizabeth Technical, proved at the Digicel Grand Prix final, that she will be the one to beat, but Alesha Kelly, who is hungry for some action after missing two consecutive years, should not be taken lightly.

Class 2 800m – Cemore Donald of Edwin Allen started the season as the overwhelming favourite, but based on Hydel’s Charokee Young’s run at the Digicel Grand Prix final, she is a serious contender. Also, Shaquena Foote of Petersfield,is expected to be in the mix.

Class 2 1500m – Another battle is expected in this event with Donald and Foote, the headliners.
