Grenadians James and Taplin run sub-45 at Sun Angel Classic

TEMPE, United States –  Olympic Games champion Kirani James recorded a fast 400m opener at 36th Sun Angel Classic on Saturday (11 April).

James ran a superb 44.31, his fastest ever opener. Bralon Taplin, also of Grenada, ran a personal best 44.89. Deon Lendore from Trinidad 45.18 finished third in the event. 

In the women's 100m, Muna Lee 11.21 (+0.4) won easily.

Joe Morris ran a personal best 10.20 (+0.4) to beat Albert Huntley 10.24, also PB, in the men's 100m.

St. Kitts and Nevis' Brijesh Lawrence 10.25 finished third in the event.

In the 200m Kamaria Brown 23.01 (0.0) and Anaso Jobodwana from South Africa 20.38 (+0.6) were the top finishers.

World record holder Aries Merritt ran 13.29 seconds in the men's 110m hurdles.
