KINGSTON, Jamaica – Top schoolgirl sprinter Christania Williams has joined local training group MVP.

Williams joined a group, which includes one of her heroes Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, the two-time Olympic Games 100m champion.

Williams, who won the Class 1 title for Edwin Allen at Boys and Girls Champs in 11.19 seconds, chose MVP over Racers to continue her career. Stephen Francis will coach her.

Confirmation that Williams joined MVP came when she was entered under the club’s name for this weekend’s JAAA Supreme Ventures Senior Championships.

Williams, who won bronze in the 100m at the IAAF World Youth Championships in Lille, France, three years ago, will compete against the likes of Veronica Campbell-Brown, Kerron Stewart, Sherone Simpson among others on Friday.
