BIRMINGHAM, USA – Bahamian World 400m silver medalist Steven Gardiner won the 300m at Blazer Invite in new Bahamian record, 32.51 seconds. The time is also the 15th best performer ever.

Jamaican Steven Gayle was second to Gardiner in 34.03. Bahamian Teray Smith finished third in 34.06.

Jamaican Jura Levy topped the women’s 60m in 7.30 ahead of Alfreda Steele of Miami, 7.35s.

Trinbagonian Ruebin Walters, representing Alabama, ran away with the men’s 60m hurdles in 7.76.

St. Lucian Levern Spencer equaled her 2016 high jump record with a clearance of 1.86m.

Jamaican Tamara Moncrieffe, representing Alabama, took the women’s triple jump with a leap of 12.56m.

In the 500m, Trinidad and Tobago’s Renny Quow, 1:02.50 was second behind Alex Amankwah of Ghana, 1:02.28.

Hakim Montgomery won the 60m in 6.68 ahead of Lawrence Crawford of Mississippi State, 6.71.

American Jessica Beard ran 37.35 to set a new record in the women’s 300m. The old mark was 37.70.
