Sherone Simpson wants to help athletes mentally prepared

Acting principal of GC Foster College Maurice Wilson along with lecturer and coach Marlon Gayle as well as athletes Sherone Simpson and Rasheed Dwyer are set to leave the island on Wednesday (28 Feb) for Athletics Ontario (high performance centre) in Canada.

The team will visit two universities to conduct clinics and coaching seminars. They are scheduled to return to the island next Monday.

According to Wilson, the visit forms part of a larger plan which will involve exchange tours of athletes and coaches from Canada starting next year.

They will also be attending Athletics Ontario’s Indoor Championship Series meet No. 3, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 3 at the Toronto Track and Field Centre.
