Vere Technical and Holmwood Technical booked their places in the Championship of America girls’ 4x800m, final for Friday (24 April) here at Penn Relays 2015.
On Thursday’s opening day, Vere topped their heat in 9:10.31 well ahead of Great Valley of Malvern 9:20.39.
Britnie Dixon (2:15.56), Sanique Walker (2:18.60), Sasha-Gaye Whyte (2:15.92) and Deriann Hill (2:20.24) made up the Vere team.
Holmwood, the McCook Gibson Relays winner, finished 3rd in heat one of the event in 9:20.93. KerryAnn Scott, Shashalee Forbes, Britney Hew and Shantae Deer were the team members.
Meanwhile, Spalding with Jezelle Shaw (2:27.23), Ann Marie Jones (2:19.96), Kara Grant (2:21.08) and Kimone Campbell (2:23.17), narrowly missed out with 9:31.43.
