Despite losing over US$12 million, track and field legend Usain Bolt made it clear he is not broke.
Bolt, who was speaking for the first time since news broke of a multi-million dollar fraud rock Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) investment firm, expressed his disappointment.

“Im not broke,” he answered his a smile when asked about his financial status.
But, despite not being broke, Bolt said, “It has definitely put a damper on me. It was for my future. Everybody knows I have three kids and still looking after my parents.”
Bolt’s lawyer reported that his client’s account had a balance of greater than US$12 million at the end of October 2022, but by the end of the year, only US$12,000 was left, indicating a loss of over US$12 million.
Bolt said base on the comments in the public domain, he is as “confused as the public” as to what happened.

Puma alone paid him $10 million a year, so he’s not broke, but that $12 million was his retirement money. He should have invested with Berkshire Hathaway. Sad this is what Bolt gets for being loyal to a Jamaican company Stocks and Securities Ltd. that did nothing but rob him.
Of course he is not broke; however, he needs to get back his hard earned money.

Even if that $12M was all of his money he still has a contract with Puma and other companies paying him millions. He’ll make back the $12M in a few years.
