Sixteen athletes will represent St. Vincent and The Grenadines at the 2016 Carifta Games.
The event will be staged in Grenada from March 26 to 28.
The team members are listed below:
Under-18- Zita Vincent (3000m, 1500m), Darria Matthias (100m, 200m, 4x100m), Zamerisha Myle (400m, 4x400m, 4x100m), Shaffiqua Maloney (400m, 4x400m), Lafeisha France (100m, 200m), Krystal Foster (shot put), Shantel Williams (100m, 200m), Alliyah Welcome (4x100m), Tamara Woodley (1500m, 4x400m), Bobriel Balllantyne (triple jump)
Under-18 – Javon Rawlins (long jump, triple jump, high jump), Cody Compton (800m), Newman Peters (3,000m), Brad Slater (triple jump)
Under-20 – McKish Compton (100m, 200m), Ryan John (5,000m).
Chester Morgan is the team’s coach and he will be assisted by Godfrey Harry manager/coach and chaperone/coach Chantel Legair.
In a release Tuesday afternoon, Team Athletics St. Vincent and The Grenadines said “in order to ensure acclimatization to the track the team is scheduled to travel to Grenada on Friday 18 March.”
